Image requirements

• True lateral cephalogram — patient in Natural Head Position

• All 15 landmarks must be visible: S, N, Po, Or, A, B, Pog, Me, Go, U1, L1, OccPos, OccAnt

• Digital DICOM export or high-resolution scan preferred (not a photograph of a printed X-ray)

• Include a calibration ruler if you need Wits in mm (otherwise auto-calibration via S-N = 71 mm is used)

Frequently Asked Questions

What analyses are included?

Steiner (SNA, SNB, ANB), Tweed Triangle (FMA, IMPA, FMIA), Downs Analysis (Facial Angle, Convexity), and Wits Appraisal (mm). All classified as Normal/Borderline/Abnormal against published norms.

How many landmarks do I place?

15 landmarks: S, N, Po, Or, A, B, Pog, Me, Go, U1Tip, U1Root, L1Tip, L1Root, OccPos, OccAnt. Each is selected from the landmark list on the right, then clicked onto the cephalogram. Angles calculate in real time.

What is the Wits Appraisal?

Wits (Jacobson 1975) measures AO–BO distance along the Functional Occlusal Plane in mm. Normal: −1 to +1 mm. Positive = Class II, Negative = Class III. Calibration is auto-estimated from S-N length (71 mm norm) or you can enter a ruler measurement manually.

Can I print or download the report?

Yes — the result page has a Print Report button and a Download button for the annotated image.
